A ‘brief’ hiatus

As I’m sure many other fledging freelance designers did, I had lofty ambitions on how I was going to promote myself online and meet lots of lovely clients to work with.

One of those ideas was writing this blog, REGULARLY.

I thought bi-monthly would be more than achievable.

As you can see from my, ahem, small 4 year 3 months gap between the first two posts it didn’t go quite as smoothly as I’d hoped.

Not that I was sitting on my hands during that time, among other things I;

  • went back in house, for 2 years, as a childrenswear designer

  • became a homeowner

  • grew and birthed a small child

  • found a new studio space

  • navigated working parent life

Of course I also beat myself up about all the things I DIDN’T do, but writing it down like that it does look like life got a little busy.

I’m ready to embrace blog life again now, and hopefully, with less overthinking and more time sensitive posting.
