Am getting I older, or is LinkedIn more appealing these days?

These days, if I sit down to scroll, I’m finding it’s LinkedIn and not Instagram my thumb edges towards.

I’m not sure if this is a sign of maturing in my freelance journey, realising that although I can’t make my LinkedIn feed quite as beautiful and aesthetically pleasing as my Instagram grid there are many more benefits to feeding the algorithm over there. Now it shows me posts from companies that I would love to work for, rather than my Instagram feed expecting me to have another child soon because hey, you’ve had one and lots of people say now is a great time to have a second!

Maybe its because I’m finding LinkedIn less cringe-inducing having consistently posted there for over a year now.

Maybe I’m starting to feel I’m finding my network.

Maybe I’m just stubbornly sticking it out to prove to myself that I can commit to a marketing avenue.

Or is it purely growing up and realising I can’t make the mortgage payments on thin air and beautifully illustrated cards and prints, especially if no one knows I’m out here offering freelance Childrenswear design.

If you’re hanging out on LinkedIn more these days too and would love to add a freelance Childrenswear designer to your network to pepper your feed with colour you can find me here.

P.S Yes Dad I know you told me to do all this years ago and I didn’t listen, but now I’m well and truly eating my words, I’m sorry.
